Joseph Covais has worn many hats in his lifetime: antique dealer, businessman, radio host, actor, costumer for motion pictures and living history programs. Currently he is a psychotherapist and teacher at regional colleges in Northwestern Vermont.
Covais is also a writer. He is the author of Battery, a history of the glider field artillery in WWII, as well as the Professor of magic: Science, Love, Death, and Daguerreotypes, a study of the psychologically complex Eben Horsford and his life in pioneer photography, early women’s education, phrenology, and Spiritualism.
As a writer of original fiction, Covais’s novels include the Psychotherapy With Ghosts trilogy: Book I – Quiet Room, Book II – Female Academy, and Book III – Bound by Faith. The series is best described as a thoughtful comment on life’s purpose, disguised as a delightful, if spooky, historical romance. His most recent project is a 19th century murder-mystery.
Joe finds writing to be hard work, sometimes tedious, but always rewarding. He loves to hear from his readers. They can reach him at jsc319@gmil.com.
