
Katherine De Lorraine, a native of Farmville, Virginia, is a resident of Roanoke, Virginia. She has taught English and creative writing in secondary schools and at Roanoke College. She holds a MA in English from Longwood University and a MFA in creative writing from Goddard College. De Lorraine has received four fellowships to Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Her poems have appeared in numerous journals have won awards from the Poetry Society of Virginia as well as North and South Carolina. She is the author of a prize- winning chapbook entitled Someone You Should Know, a multi genre book entitled Human Bridges, and a novel entitled Miss Lila’s Place.
Having a passion for teaching, De Lorraine enjoys tutoring legal refugees in Roanoke who aspire to higher education. In her spare time, she loves ballroom dancing, and reading. She can usually be found at coffee shops writing and socializing.
